Transition to Fall Colours

Often I have dreaded the change to fall clothing - too many years the colours have been dull and uninspiring. Not this year ...
rich and vibrant hues for fall 2013

Emerald continues to influence this season - as colour of the year it compliments most skin tones - and works well on its own, or paired with other colours.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. "The fall 2013 palette allows for that versatility and experimentation." Colours transition to deeper shades and a softer pallet than summer, one designed to appeal to our emotions.

From the elegance of emerald or the brighter linden green, I am enjoying them combined with the mykonos blue almost as much as liked their brighter spring shades with navy.

Purples, reds and shades of orange have also become deeper this season, but remain bright enough to energize you when mixed with neutrals. Selected to evoke drama, spice, or sensuality in your spirit, and balance the dark gray of turbulence or rich glamorous brown carafe. It is interesting that predictions are you will see a lot more of these neutrals than basic black, but I think some people are just addicted to black. (pitty them, they are missing out on a lot of fun).

As the seasons change, consider blending your brighter summer shades with their new fall counterparts, or make more use of neutrals. Beyond everything else, have fun with colour :)
