The Unplanned Escape.

Travel is on everyone's mind this year. With busy lives and hectic schedules, so many of us are seeking a moment to escape, unwind and regenerate befor the next ???. Although a grand adventure might be a lifelong dream, the travel state of mind can be gleaned on a small scale as well.

The stay-cation is exploring the geographical area within a 1 day drive of home. Don your tourist perspective, eat at restaurants you've never visited, explore tourist attractions listed in community guides, take the road less traveled.

Take a Weekend Retreat that inspires you. Turn off technology and allow a spa to rejuvenate body and spirit, or try a bed-and-breakfast experience from rustic country retreat to city elegance. What about learning to cook a new style of food, a wine tasting tour, or standup paddle board lessons? Photography camp, hot air balloon ride, dark sky gazing, lol - the sky is the limit.

4 day escape - pack a suitcase and grab a last minute travel deal. All-inclusive deals are available for adventure tours, hot destinations, and ski resorts. Create a wish list for your travel agent and you might be surprised at where you end up. Or google "quick travel escape" to find sites that specialize in getting you away. Soak up the atmosphere wherever you go!

Long escapes are planned quickly and budget wise with all-inclusive packages, but be sure that you are clear on what is included. The excursion that intrigued you might cost extra. While last minute deals can pop up for longer vacations, some of your best value is found in planning ahead and anticipation can also be half the fun.

The cruise experience grows every year, and some take advantage of this first vacation to preview destinations for the next escape. Options are also expanding  ...  Cruise Diva: River vs Ocean Cruising: For more than twenty years Mel and I have sailed on hundreds of cruises. Until last year all our voyages were all on ocean-going cruise ship...

Whether your escape is brief, or you've managed a longer hiatus, cherish the memories you create.  Even when the trip takes an unexpected turn, those may be the bits you laugh over the hardest in the future!
