Blueberry Love - in Denim

A fabulous colour for transitioning to fall, blueberry denim is easy to work with. Find the cut that works best with your shape, then pull from your summer and fall tops and shoes.

A decidedly stylish look for the 30 to 50+ woman. They've been photographed on famous faces including Michelle Obama. A good rule of thumb to keep the look age appropriate, is to select darker shades (no pastels or neons) as you age, blend with classic pieces in your wardrobe, and keep it simple.

From summer capris to a straight or boot cut for fall (available in fabulous stretch denim by Yoga Jeans) making them perfect for work or travel.  If you don't have a pair already, your new look can start with a crisp white shirt or neutral top, then mix and match to your style.

Start with the basics;

1. Find the cut that best flatters your shape, straight or boot cut styles may suit you better than a skinny leg. It's about keeping your proportions balanced.

2. From white or black summer Tshirt as a neutral base try using caramel or charcoal as the temperatures drop. Or layer with an oversize sweater or jacket, in neutrals or colour.

4. Stripes are also a great option, and no - they will not make you look wider when done right - blueberry denim makes a stronger base than light denim, again it comes to balance. When selecting a print choose either from one of the complementary groups above, or a busy print with the blueberry tones in it.

Above all - have fun with it :) Selecting blueberry denim to brighten up your existing wardrobe can be a great budget stretcher. Finding one as comfortable as Yoga Denim will also become a wardrobe staple, stylish for work, travel and everyday.

We're already ordering coloured denim for Spring 2013 too! This trend will stay for a while.
