A Bit About Bottoms

One of the best aspects of Mix & Match swimwear, is you get to select the bottom which best suits your shape. You should try on several to see which style flatters your best feature, whether you have long legs, generous curves or need a bit of tummy control, there is a style to help you look fabulous.
Your overall look will also be effected by the style of swim top you choose, so be prepared to try on a few.

soft ties, string ties or side shirred hipster

Soft ties, ruffles or bows can create the illusion of curves. String ties take attention away from thighs by creating a new focus (so don't be afraid to try them) and a low rise bottom will lengthen your torso. These styles vary in cheek coverage, so find one that you feel comfortable in.
modest to full bottoms

A banded top on your bottom is fabulous for avoiding muffin tops (you know the little bump you get when your bottoms look too tight), as will a foldover or ruched effect. The foldover can be narrow or wide enough to mimic a short skirt. A higher cut leg on the swimsuit bottom will also make your legs look longer.

A sport, or hipster cut keeps you looking young, while still providing tummy control and modest cheek coverage. As the name suggests, they are perfect for beach and water sports while keeping you comfortable.

A higher waisted bottom is great for controlling a little excess tummy, and is available in a high cut leg or modest cut. Perfect under a tankini for smoothing your silhouette, it is also the new trendy retro look with bikini tops.

All of these are available in solid colours and a variety of prints, which will change how they look on you, as will what you are pairing them with. Whether you start with a top you love, or the bottom with the perfect fit, we will help you find a combination which makes you look and feel fabulous - then you can go out and have fun!

And this isn't the end of bottom choices ... skirtini and boy shorts are another great choice ... and there will be a post on those soon.
(thanks to Sunsets for the silhouettes, and the great fitting bottoms)
