5 Days of Christmas

One of our very excellent sales reps wrote the following for us - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did ...

On the 5^th day of Christmas my true love gave to me, 5 blackberries, 4 laptops, 3 GPS, 2 iPods, and a cell phone & big screenTV! On the 6^th day of Christm – hold on, this is crazy! As technology races into a new year & we line up like sheep, 3 & 4 deep at 4am to purchase the latest gadget at top dollar that will be obsolete in 2 months and complicate our lives even further (aahhh take a breath), I ask “REALLY? All I want for Christmas is a gift certificate from Sand'n Sea!

Now you can understand why we have such respect for the people who work so hard behind the scenes to bring you the really great products we carry, and they are fun to work with.

Downtown Napanee Shopping Party

come & join us on Friday Dec.17th, 7 to 10pm

We're looking forward to the Downtown Shopping Party - carolers, wagon rides, reindeer and Santa - all in the spirit of giving. Your voluntary small food donation gives to local charities, like the Morning Star Mission, and over 20 businesses (look for the red ribbons) are offering treats, specials and/or music.

Kudos to Cat and Jefta of Starlet for starting this event 3 years ago, and the Napanee BIA for coming on board.

Trend Colour for 2011

Trends are fun to watch, and when you love the current trend, it certainly makes shopping easier. The colours we love change as we grow, often reflecting our emotions, and if that is true - it must also be true that great colour choices will help us feel fabulous.

Pantone announced the colour of 2011 as honeysuckle, and said it is a colour that "elevates our psyche ... instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life."

Shades of honeysuckle will be found in home decor, fashion and accessories this summer (assembled by ellenkennon.com) and of course, in swimwear too.  This festive shade of reddish-pink pops against colors like navy, brown, and dark gray - not black -  and also compliments green, orange and yellow.

... and don't worry ... while turquoise and other blue shades are still very popular, especially in swimwear, next season's other favorites will keep you smiling.
